Product Review: Flare Isolate Pro Titanium

I have been using the 3M ear plugs for sometime now and while looking for a better earplugs I came across the Flare Isolate. Did a bit more research about it and most of the users are happy with the product. I decided to bite the bullet and asked if anyone else in the group was interested in doing bulk purchase to save on shipping but only one other was interested. After some discussion regarding the final price including shipping I ended up ordering a Isolate Pro Titanium for myself and the Isolate Mini for him.

After waiting for about 8 weeks for delivery, the earplugs finally arrived. It is packaged in a nice resealable plastic bag.

The back of the package is the instruction on how to fit the tip onto the stem and how to insert it into your ears. If you are used to using the foam earplugs then it is the same method.

In the bag it comes with a breathable pouch bag and 4 smaller bags which is color coated.

Items in the Flare Isolate package

The earplug tips are color coated for easier reference. Red for large, Yellow for medium and Green for small. The grey bag is for the stem. They are also resealable bags to prevent any unwanted things from growing in an event that you opened the wrong size.

The instructions did mention to open the smallest size first and if it doesn't seal properly go one size up. I did not follow the instructions and went ahead to the Medium which was fine but after a few hours of wearing it my ears are starting to feel hot. I tried it out a few times and the same thing happens so I swapped it out for a small and it seals perfectly.

The medium tip is colored yellow on the underside

As the name suggest the stem is made of titanium. It helps to reduce an additional 1-2dB which is very noticeable if you wear it back-to-back with the 3M earplugs.

I have been using this daily for about one year and the foam started to tear and break apart. As I am able to use both the medium and small size, I just replaced the medium with small before requiring to order new foams from Flare.

Remember to ride safe, be vigilant and keep the rubber side down
