Ride Report #8: Third ride to nowhere - within Penang

With the CMCO still in place, the group decided to do a third installment of the ride to nowhere within the island. We have the usual suspect: Barney, Mookie, Nik and myself. Meet-up was at the same place but since they will be heading to the dam again, I opted to meet them 1/2 way.

The Vulcan waiting for the arrival of the rest of the group

It was not a long wait at the rendezvous point before the rest of the group showed up. Headed up to the dam and was surprised to see that the dam was de-voided of life unlike last week where there was quite a number of cyclist.

With us the only ones there, we rested awhile before deciding on our next destination as Mookie and Nik had to be back by 11am. Mookie suggested to go try a new cafe he heard about as they specialized in coffee. Since we have no other plans in mind, we agreed, jumped back on our bikes and proceeded to Well's cafe.

Relaxing at the cafe with Barney sharing his life experiences

Ordered the Tiramisu cake. It did not have enough Tiramisu taste to it which was a let down

After the cafe, Mookie and Nik headed home and since me and Barney does not have any other plans for the day, I decided to follow him for his usual 'temple' run. This time we headed to a new location for his 'prayers'.

After the temple we headed to the expressway to 'let the bikes loose' before heading to the Shell petrol station to refuel and call it a day. Since it was almost lunchtime and near my mum's place, I called her up, went for lunch before heading home. It was a nice and relaxing ride today. Next week there is a plan to go Grik since today is the last day for CMCO and inter-state travel is now allowed.

Remember to ride safe, be vigilant and keep the rubber side down
