Komine GK-191 Motorcycle gloves

Had to make a second trip to MegaBike due to a tear in my riding pants. The owner, Lai Seng, informed he will send the pants back to Komine to get it stitched and will give me a call when it is ready.

During this trip I got myself a new glove. This would my third  pair of gloves after getting the OJ Atmosphere Metropolitane Hit black gloves back in April. Brought the gloves to Lai Seng to ask him if he knows the cause I am having issues with the gloves and he mentioned that the OJ gloves were a size too big and the sewing for the thumb area was restricting the movement hence the feeling of tightness around the fingers while riding.

He introduced the Komine GK-220 to me and also showed me the correct method of putting on the gloves to prevent unnecessary tear and to prolong its lifespan. I spotted a green glove and it has the 2XL size. Tried it on and it feels more comfortable than the GK-220.

Information cards about the gloves
First impression:
GK-191 Motorcycle gloves
Front and underside of the gloves

Features and protection:

Foam padding (left) under the thumb and the palm carbon protection (right) on the outside of the gloves

Mesh available between the pointer, middle and ring finger. There is only one side of mesh available at the pointer and little finger.
This gloves has knuckles protection (left) and inner finger protection (right)

When the fingers are closed around the throttle, the inner finger protection should be on the 'bends' of the fingers for it to provide the necessary protection
There is a power symbol on both sides of the pointer finger. There is nothing to turn on when you press it. It is meant for the Smart Tip function which allows the wearer to interact with their smart phone with gloves on. There is also a small rubber ring in the right pointer. Think it is meant for easier interaction with the touch screen but I find it sometimes not sensitive enough.Maybe I might need to get use to the correct position on where the gloves smart tip is.
Label on the gloves which states that the knuckle protection adheres to the EN13594:2015 safety standard
There is a mesh at the palm area. I can confirm it works as sometimes while riding, I would just put my left hand out and feel the wind blowing in through it. As for why the mesh is there in the first place, I have no idea. If you are holding the handlebar, there are no air going through the mesh unless it is designed as an 'exhaust' mesh for warm air to escape

There is a way to know if your Komine riding apparels are genuine or counterfeit. Every Komine apparel after 2014 has a label called the Forgery Prevention Label. This label allows you to check with your smart phone if the item is genuine. If they do not have the label or is not genuine, buy at own risk or go to another shop.
Sadly the label on my gloves fell off somewhere so I couldn't check but I trust that it is original

Conclusion:

Been wearing the gloves for the past week and I can confidently state that this is the correct size for me. It was uncomfortable the first few times I wore it due to inner stitching going in between my nails but after awhile, I do not notice it anymore. Comparing to my previous gloves, this is definitely more airy. All the mesh works as they are designed for.

If you are looking for a decently prices non-winter gloves, I would highly recommend checking this glove out. If you are in a budget, check out the Komine GK-220 gloves. They are a bit cheaper but all the functions are the same.
Remember to ride safe, be vigilant and keep the rubber side down
