A colleague of mine recently traded in his current motorcycle for a CFMoto 250. His original plan was to get the Patagonian Eagle 250 cruiser but because the bike requires a long lead time, he opted for this instead.
I have to admit that this is a very good looking bike. I love the color scheme of black with a bit of hi-viz yellow. The bike comes with led DRL and it is very bright. The design of the lights is unique as the DRL which gives the bike a very aggressive look.
From the photos above, you can see that the DRL is located at the outside of the bike and it outlines the front when it is lit up. There is nothing desirable at the back apart from the bright LED tail light.
When on the bike the footpegs are high and a bit to the back. The sitting position reminds me of Ducati bikes. I feel my legs has to be folded in to put them on the footpegs. Not sure how I would feel if I were to take this for long distance.
Inside the cockpit is a full-colour TFT-LCD screen which displays all the
necessary information. The screen also auto-adjusts according to ambient lighting conditions. There are buttons next to the screen which allows the rider to switch between 2 riding modes: Sport and Eco. This bike comes with illuminated controls which is not even available on other well known manufacturers.
I did manage to take the bike for a short ride. Even at low speed vibrations can be felt. This is expected as it is a single cylinder bike. The bike is very light and it is easy to flick at corners. The bike also comes with ABS as a standard.
For those who are having B2 license and is looking for an alternative bike besides Yamaha and Honda can consider this instead but do take note this is a single cylinder whereas Yamaha and Honda is a 2 cylinder bike.
Remember to ride safe, be vigilant and keep the rubber side down
